Help for Ukraine

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) joined Pittsburgh-area organizations to help Ukrainians under siege of the ongoing Russian invasion. AHN donated 50 pallets of medical supplies, including gloves, syringes, intravenous solutions, and medications to treat critical trauma patients.

$55,000 donation

The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation 5k Race 2020 was canceled due to COVID-19, but the already registered runners generously donated their registration fees to the cause. With combined funds from these registered donors and more than 1,200 runners who joined the 2021 Virtual 5k, The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation donated $55,000 to the AHN Cancer Institute. The donation was made in honor of loved ones, survivors, family, and friends who have experienced melanoma and fought for better treatment and outcomes.

A gift from the Joseph A. Massaro Jr. Alzheimer’s Research Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation will support the AHN Neuroscience Institute and Memory Disorders Clinic. The Massaro family's generosity will help to ensure that every patient experiencing memory loss receives personalized care from a nurse navigator serving as a concierge for patients and their families.

Jennie K. Scaife Charitable Foundation Funds Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women with Opioid Use Disorders

Funding granted to AHN from the Jennie K. Scaife Charitable Foundation will enable AHN to continue and expand its Perinatal Hope Program. This comprehensive care model supports expectant and postpartum mothers with opioid use disorders by providing medication-assisted treatment, drug and alcohol counseling, health and wellness education, social support services, and community resources as part of obstetrics care.
