AHN Forbes Hospital Opens Healthy Food Center

Funded in part by our generous donors, Allegheny Health Network (AHN)'s fifth Healthy Food Center has opened at AHN Forbes Hospital. The Healthy Food Center acts as a “food pharmacy” where patients can get healthy food items, as well as education on disease-specific diets and resources to address other social challenges.

Spreading Holiday Cheer to Heart Patients

TJBF Donates Gift Baskets to AHN

The Joe Beretta Foundation joined the AHN Cardiovascular Institute to deliver gifts and good tidings to cardiac patients hospitalized over the holidays. Filled with comfort items, each bag went to a patient undergoing lifesaving treatment for heart failure. Thank you, Joe Beretta Foundation, for making the holidays a little brighter for AHN patients.

Dr. Marta Kolthoff

Grief and Guidance

Marta Kolthoff, an AHN board-certified OB-GYN and reproductive geneticist, sat down with WJAS Radio to chat about perinatal loss and AHN's Olivia's Angels Perinatal Palliative Care program. Led by Dr. Kolthoff, the program supports families who've received the heartbreaking news that their child has a life-limiting condition and may not survive long after birth.

As a result of the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in our service area, AHN has decided to further limit patient visitation temporarily at its affiliated hospitals and outpatient facilities. We recognize that implementing visitation restrictions can be difficult for patients and their loved ones, but it's critical that we do our part to further protect our patients, ourselves, and our families.
