Remarkable Moments
Local Students and Faculty S.T.O.M.P Out Cancer in Memory of Beloved Teacher

In 2007, Evans City Elementary School in the Seneca Valley School District lost one of their beloved kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Linda Saulle, to cancer. Mrs. Saulle taught at the school for 17 years. In her memory, Evans City Elementary and Rowan Elementary organized an annual S.T.O.M.P. Out Cancer Walk to honor Mrs. Saulle

S.T.O.M.P. stands for “Saulle’s Teddy Bear Official Memorial Parade” in honor of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic Mrs. Saulle held every year. During the parade, students, faculty, and staff walk around the school to raise money and honor family and friends who have endured a battle with cancer.

The annual S.T.O.M.P. Out Cancer Walk was held on Thursday, May 13 in support of the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion Cancer Institute Patient Care Fund. This fund provides urgent patient items such as non-medical supplies, meal vouchers, transportation, parking, and more.
