McMullen Concert Recap

On August 17, 2025, the annual Teal Ribbon Concert featuring Sara Evans raised funds to support AHN's ovarian and gynecological cancer research. Special thanks to Julie and Michael "Mac" McMullen, whose generosity and dedication are instrumental in advancing this critical research at AHN.

Greg Jordan named Highmark Health Board Chair

Highmark Health has named Greg Jordan as chair of its board of directors.

Jordan, currently vice chairman of PNC's board and also a board member at MSA Safety Inc., retired as PNC Financial Services Group Inc.'s general counsel and chief administrative officer last year.

AHN West Penn Hospital Receives 4th Consecutive Recognition by U.S. News and World Report as One of the Nation’s Top 50 Hospitals for Obstetrics and Gynecology

AHN West Penn was ranked 35th in the nation for OB/GYN, marking the fourth consecutive year the hospital has been placed in the top 50 for women’s care by U.S. News. It has also been designated as a high-performing hospital for gynecologic oncology (GYN/ONC), among other procedures and specialties.

A History of AHN Saint Vincent Hospital: 1980s

Saint Vincent expanded its services with the opening of the region's first Laser Unit for gynecology and otolaryngology procedures. The Saint Vincent Foundation for Health and Human Services was established, and the hospital became a pioneer in health care technology with the introduction of its Medical Information System. The Washington School was renovated to house the School of Nursing. Saint Vincent was also designated a Children's Miracle Network Hospital in 1986, and the Saint Vincent Outpatient Surgery Center opened.

Plaque Unveiling in Memory of Jason Roeback

AHN West Penn Hospital recently honored Jason Roeback's legacy with a ceremony dedicating the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinical Suite in his memory and unveiling a commemorative plaque. Led by West Penn Hospital President, Brian Johnson, MD, the event celebrated Jason's profound impact on patient care and recognized a successful fundraising campaign supporting the Respiratory Therapy Program.
