Driving Impact: AHN Golf Classic Sets Fundraising Record

The 12th Annual AHN Golf Classic marked a record-breaking year that included the addition of a fourth golf course to accommodate growing support for the event. AHN Saint Vincent Golf Classic Supports Patient Care

The AHN Saint Vincent Golf Classic brought together supporters from across the region in support of patient care and services at AHN Saint Vincent. While rain forced the tournament to be called before play began, we were grateful for the chance to gather with everyone at the clubhouse. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, including Presenting Sponsors Abridge AI, Highmark BCBS and Westminster Companies and Course Sponsor PNC, along with 24 corporate sponsors whose generosity helped make the event possible. Thank you also to the 108 golfers and the 15+ dedicated team members and volunteers who joined us at Kahkwa Club in Erie, PA. Son Honors Mom's Lifelong Connection to AHN Canonsburg Hospital with Generous Gift

Carol Day Smith devoted more than 20 years to caring for patients at AHN Canonsburg Hospital, where she began her nursing career in the early 1970s and retired in 1996. In retirement, she continued giving back through volunteer service in the Emergency Department and as Mrs. Claus during holiday visits with her husband, Tom. Her connection to the hospital never wavered, and fittingly, she spent her final days in the place she loved and served. Her son, Brian Day, recently honored her legacy with a generous gift to the Canonsburg Hospital Nursing Fund.

"Carol loved Canonsburg Hospital. She made lifelong friends there and spent her career there serving patients. We could think of nothing more appropriate than this to honor her life as a nurse," said Brian Day.

Renowned Sports Medicine Surgeon Joins AHN to Lead Orthopaedic Expansion

Next February, Volker Musahl, MD, will join AHN as Chief Sports Medicine Officer and Medical Director of International Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Musahl comes to us from UPMC, where he directed the Rooney Sports Medicine Complex and trained the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. He'll help lead our sports medicine research and clinical care for athletes throughout the region. His arrival builds on AHN's work with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Riverhounds and nearly 30 western Pennsylvania high school athletic programs.

Cancer Survivors Jeff Main and Rick Letterman Support Others as AHN Cancer Ambassador

A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating, but at AHN no one has to face it alone. Through our cancer ambassador program, patients are connected with survivors who understand what they’re going through and can offer support, perspective and hope along the way. For patients like Rick Letterman and Jeff Main, that connection made all the difference. Now they’re helping others see a path forward, too.

AHN Saint Vincent Celebrates 40 Years with Children's Miracle Network and Honors 2026 Miracle Child

AHN Saint Vincent is celebrating 40 years as a Children's Miracle Network Hospital, marking four decades of community support that has raised more than $6 million for lifesaving pediatric equipment. The milestone event also served as a Toy Story-themed third birthday party for 2026 Miracle Child Asher Lightner, bringing together two reasons to celebrate.

Christmas came early at AHN Saint Vincent as supporters gathered for a festive Christmas in July celebration to kick off the 2026 Festival of Trees season. This beloved holiday tradition is a chance for you and your family to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with over 80 professionally decorated trees, live reindeer, rooms from Santa's Castle and so much more. Returning to Festival of Trees this year is Festival After Dark, an evening of live music and libations to support nursing education at Saint Vincent. We look forward to another exciting year!
