Brother’s Brother Foundation Donates Mobile Health Van to AHN Center for Inclusion Health
Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF), a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, donated a mobile health van to the AHN Center for Inclusion Health (CIH). A group of leaders from AHN and BBF gathered for a ribbon-cutting and ceremonial key exchange, preceding a mobile event hosted by AHN CIH offering low-to-no-cost medical care and access to a range of other health and social services.

Susan Evans Gifts $50,000 for Oncology Research
Susan Evans, a grateful patient and longtime supporter of gynecologic oncology research, formalized her commitment with a $50,000 gift supporting the work of Nujsaubnusi Vue, MD, whose research focuses on ovarian and endometrial cancers. During Resident Research Day, Susan presented the Dr. George P. Evans and Susan I. Cavalline Evans Excellence Award for Innovative Gynecologic Oncology Research, honoring both legacy and future impact.

The Heinz Endowments Awards $80,000 Grant to Healthy Food Center at AHN Jefferson Hospital
AHN’s Center for Inclusion Health (CIH) announced it has received an $80,000 grant from The Heinz Endowments to support increased access to CIH’s Healthy Food Center at AHN Jefferson Hospital for residents in Allegheny County’s South Hills and lower Mon Valley.

Camp Koala Celebrates 40 Years of Impact
Camp Koala continues to be a beacon of hope and healing for young burn survivors, made possible through the generosity of our donor community. As it celebrated 40 years of impact, this year’s program offered children a supportive environment to build confidence and form lasting friendships. As Amanda, a former camper, counselor and incoming Executive Director, shared, “Camp helped me realize I was not alone.”

AHN Chill Mobile Anniversary Dinner Honors Pirates Charities
At a special anniversary dinner, the AHN Chill Project celebrated five years of Chill Mobile and recognized the Pirates Charities as the program’s premier partner and visionary supporter. What began as an innovative idea to bring mental health resources directly to students has grown into a transformative community program. The celebration honored five years of impact and looked ahead to the next chapter with the launch of an enhanced Chill Mobile experience.

AHN Rededicates Butterfly Suite Honoring the Keenan Family
AHN recently welcomed the Keenan family for a rededication of the Butterfly Suite at AHN West Penn Hospital, a specialized space created to support families experiencing infant loss. Inspired by Becky and Jeff Keenan’s vision and created in memory of their son, Caleb, the suite offers privacy, comfort and compassionate care for families facing unimaginable loss. The gathering recognized the continued work of AHN’s Olivia’s Angels program to provide comprehensive perinatal bereavement support for patients and their loved ones.
