A Story of Gratitude: Supporting NICU Families
Sixteen years ago, Jennifer's son, Dylan, received lifesaving care in the AHN West Penn NICU after being born at just 3 lbs., 5 oz. Today, Dylan is a thriving teenager and a testament to that critical support.
Inspired by Dylan's journey and in honor of her uncle, Emil Greathouse, Jennifer made a thoughtful donation to the NICU Family Enhancement Fund. This generous gift will help other families by providing resources like meal tickets, parking vouchers, transportation assistance, lodging and comforting items such as parent keepsake journals and Beads for Courage. Jennifer's heartfelt desire is to “pay it forward” and ensure continued support for our NICU families, just as it was there for her own.

After AHN Surgery to Remove Brain Tumor, Bethel Park Teacher Continues to Inspire Students
When Bethel Park teacher K.D. Meucci learned she had a brain tumor in fall 2021, AHN neurosurgeon Dr. Matthew Shepard operated six days later. The tumor was benign, and within three months, K.D. was back in her classroom. Nearly five years later, she continues to read bedtime stories on Facebook Live to her students every week and says she's happier now than before her diagnosis. For patients navigating a diagnosis like K.D.'s, the AHN Neuro-Oncology Patient Support Fund helps cover copays, transportation and other costs that can stand between the care they need.
