Swimming in Gratitude 

Thanks for making a big splash, Goldfish Swim School! Your donation of three months of complimentary swim lessons for babies born at AHN West Penn, Forbes, Jefferson, and Wexford hospitals is keeping our littlest swimmers afloat. All babies delivered from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 are eligible any time before the child is 15 months old. Goldfish will also waive the annual membership fee for eligible swimmers and provide a free swim diaper for baby's first lesson. 

Pittsburgh Pirates Support AED Machines for Youth

AHN, Highmark, and the Pittsburgh Pirates teamed up to equip local youth organizations with life-saving Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines to help save lives during a cardiac arrest event. This initiative aims to enhance safety during sports and recreational activities, ensuring quick access to critical medical assistance when needed. Through this collaboration, these organizations can better protect young athletes and community members alike.

AHN Becomes First U.S. Health Care Organization to Begin Phase 3 Clinical Trial for Promising Ovarian Cancer Therapy

The AHN Cancer Institute and the AHN Women's Institute commenced the phase 3 clinical trial evaluating a new drug combination for low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC), a rare ovarian cancer that predominately affects premenopausal women. AHN is part of Verastem Oncology's Phase 3 RAMP 301 trial, a study comparing this therapy to standard treatments to determine which is more effective. The AHN’s RAMP 301 phase 3 trial is now open for patients to consider enrollment.
