A Night to Remember at the
2023 'Illuminat10n' Gala |
| On Friday, October 20, more than 700 local business leaders, community members, Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and Highmark Health leaders, caregivers, and patients came together to celebrate AHN's first decade and honor our generous donors and partners for their continuous support. The ‘Illuminat10n’ Gala raised more than $2 million for AHN employee wellness initiatives and the AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute. It has been a remarkable 10 years, and we were honored to celebrate together and share stories of philanthropic impact. |

| A Stylish Fundraiser for Employee Wellness |

| More than 200 guests attended the AHN Allegheny General Hospital Auxiliary Purse and Cash Bash. The event included a lunch buffet, raffles, a gently-loved handbag silent auction, and the grand prize: a Christian Louboutín Carasky handbag and $500 cash! Proceeds benefited the AHN Allegheny General Employee Wellness Program, which helps healthcare workers manage stress, build relationships, and reduce burnout through activities and programs that aim to improve employee health and well-being. |

| According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, more than 9,500 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with skin cancer every day, and more than two people die of the disease every hour. |
| The newly launched Skin Cancer Center at the AHN Cancer Institute at West Penn Hospital provides dermatology and cancer patients with one-stop access to comprehensive clinical and surgical expertise, as well as leading-edge therapies and technologies. The new 9,000-square-foot facility unites physicians in dermatology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, integrative medicine, and psychiatry with nurse navigators, social workers, and other support staff to offer patients every possible resource to aid their health journey. The Center was made possible by generous funding from the West Penn Hospital Foundation. |

| AHN Cancer Institute Launches Region's First and Only VECTRA WB360 Whole Body Imaging System |

| At the AHN Cancer Institute's new state-of-the-art Skin Cancer Center at AHN West Penn Hospital, physicians introduced a first-in-the-region, full-body 3D imaging system that provides custom digital surveillance for skin abnormalities. This new technology produces better images for better care of patients and more timely detection of abnormalities. |
