AHN Philanthropy in the News

The Butterfly Suite is a first-of-its-kind for patients in western Pennsylvania. This fully equipped clinical space is staffed by AHN caregivers trained in perinatal loss and bereavement. The official opening of the suite was made possible through the generosity of the West Penn Hospital Foundation and Becky and Jeff Keenan, who envisioned the Butterfly Suite in honor of their second son, Caleb, who was born still on Memorial Day weekend in 2020.

We were delighted and grateful to welcome 11,000 guests to the 38th Annual AHN Saint Vincent Festival of Trees. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who helped make holiday magic happen. Together, our community helped raise important funds for cardiac and pediatric care at AHN Saint Vincent.

Visitation Guideline Changes

• All patients can have more than two visitors in a day: patients are still only allowed two visitors at a time, but each visitor can switch out with another person. This includes “End of Life” and “COVID-positive/suspected” patients.
• Labor and Delivery patients can have two visitors at the bedside at a time: one primary support person and one visitor can rotate.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients can have two visitors at the bedside at a time: one primary support person and one visitor can rotate.
