Thanks to the more than 150 guests who attended the Pittsburgh Pirates Pilates Day. A portion of ticket proceeds benefitted the AHN Chill Project: a mindfulness program that equips students, teachers, and parents with skills to cope with stress. The event included:

• Tickets to the Pirates vs. Marlins game on July 24
• Entry into a Pilates class on the outfield prior to the game
• Brunch in Left Field Lounge following the Pilates session
• Complimentary Pirates branded stretch band

Philanthropy in the News

With a grant from the Jefferson Regional Foundation, AHN’s Jefferson Hospital started an innovative program in 2018 to address social determinants of health factors known as the Front Door Initiative. This program successfully integrates screenings and makes referrals for long-term support within the duration of a patient’s visit to the ED. The program has had substantial growth, thanks in part to financial support from the Jefferson Regional Foundation, Highmark Foundation, and Allegheny County Health Department.
